CNN's story on this notes that if there was tension in the room it would be between Clinton and Carter. Percentage of adult Americans who approved ofhow Clinton handled his, uh, job: 69 percent. Carter's approval rating: 64%, Geroge H.W. Bush 60%, W Bush 27%, and incoming Obama 82%. Quite a club.
