Man Hit, Killed By Hearse

A 22-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning when he was hit by a hearse that was being driven by a friend, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff Mark Hackel said Samuel York ran into the path of the 1999 Chevrolet hearse as it drove by the Hometown Mobile Home Park on 21 Mile Road near Romeo Plank Road just before 3 a.m.

He was pronounced dead at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center.

Hackel said the hearse was being driven by a 20-year-old friend of York's, who had just dropped him off after a party.

York's friends told the Sheriff's Office that York had been suffering from depression.

Depression? It sounds like he had a hearse attack.
