And, this is an unnecessary invasion of primacy, revealing in some people "intimate medical details like colostomy bags ... adult diapers."<br><br>And, there is a question about their safety. John W. Sedat, professor emeritus at UCSF and three others recently sent a letter to President Obama questioning their safety, which has never been scientifically and independently established. <br><br>The people who work the airport scanners aren't trained to nearly the same level as medical technicians. Yet, a recent and original investigation by reporters from the NY Times revealed 400 patients around the country received severe symptoms from CT scans, which were run by medically trained technicians. <br><br>Roving Street Scanners:<br><br>If they are to be used away from U.S. borders on American streets, they are violation of the 4th amendment to the constitution, which states a search can only be carried out with a warrant, according to ACLU. <br><br>But, ... <br><br>If America is going to be in a constant state of war against terrorism, as we often hear we are going to be, constitutional rights can be suspended indefinitely. This occurred, for example, during World War II among the Japanese-American citizens who were imprisoned in camps in California and elsewhere in the continental USA. <br><br>Without Constitutional rights we're basically living in a fascist state, living at whims of our "leaders," who we, ironically enough, elect into office.Annnoreply@blogger.com
