Lightning kills famous giraffe

"Hamley - a South African giraffe G. c. giraffa who lived on the Glen Afric reserve in South Africa - was (apparently) struck by lightning and killed on Monday (8th November 2010). Hamley [shown below] was a famous giraffe with a TV career; he starred in the ITV series Wild At Heart and was much liked and admired by his human co-stars..."
