Where is the law that says you have to pay income taxes? There isn't one according to this video. That's how some people get away with not paying taxes. They fight and win. Others, fight and lose. They go to jail.

So, after watching this I'll still pay taxes and stay out of jail, but I'll be more angry about doing it. I like the idea that your income and your labor is your private property. Recently in the news an employer not paying taxes got nailed:
Kent Hovind, founder of Creation Science Evangelism and Dinosaur Adventure Land in Pensacola, was found guilty of 58 counts, including failure to pay $845,000 in employee-related taxes. He faces a maximum of 288 years in prison. - religionnews
But ... prison for not paying taxes? That makes NO sense. Make "Dr. Dino" work to pay off the debt! He is not a danger to himself or anyone else ... not for this reason anyway. You could say he robbed the government, but prison is a cruel and unusual punishment which does not fit the crime.
So, what about the tax laws? I found one reference to "willfully failing to file federal income tax returns (26 U.S.C. ?7203)" This law just says that anyone required under Title 26 to pay, must file a return. The IRS code Title 26 is listed on the US House of Representatives web site. Here is what the IRS has to say about all of this. Here is info on the 16th amendment and on the tax protester's various arguments.
