DHAKA, Bangladesh - Thousands of protesters striking for electoral reforms in Bangladesh's capital blocked railways and set fire to a train on Sunday, media reports and witnesses said. No injuries were reported.
... Protesters blocked rail tracks and later set fire to a train in Tongi, just outside the capital, an AP photographer at the scene said. Firefighters doused the blaze immediately. No one was injured.
Separately, a group of protesters attacked a train in the district of Brahmanbaria, 50 miles east of the capital, Dhaka, ATN Bangla reported. It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured.
In Dhaka, only a few tricycle rickshaws were plying the roads Sunday. Protesters attacked a number of vehicles that tried to defy the strike. - casper
Angry mobs with scary masks. That's something you don't see in the US. Well, not masks like those anyway. If there are ever large demonstrations in the US again, people should make giant devil masks like these! That would be cool. Just don't destroy public property, m'kay? Burning trains is pointless and more than a bit dangerous.
