Photos released of terrorist mastermind at Gitmo

This password protected post is my attempt to show that the "9/11 truthers" are correct in one sense:  The verifiable facts do not fit the official story.

Yet, despite appearances to the contrary,  I'll attempt to use the verifiable facts and some reasonable speculation to build a case that US government officials did not, after all, carry out a plan to murder US civilians, blame it on Arab terrorists and use the event as a pretext for oil war profiteering and curtailing of civil liberties.

First, the latest 9/11 news story:

This photo downloaded from the Arabic language Internet site www.muslm.net and purporting to show a man identified by the Internet site as Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the accused mastermind of the Sep. 11 attacks, is seen in detention at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The picture was allegedly taken in July 2009 by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and released only to the detainee's family under a new policy allowing the ICRC to photograph Guantanamo inmates, ICRC spokesman Bernard Barrett said Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009.

The first photographs of the self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind at Guantanamo Bay have cropped up on the Internet, and experts say the images of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed are being used by terrorist groups to inspire attacks against the United States.

The photographs, taken in July by the Red Cross at the detention center on a U.S. naval base in Cuba, show Mohammed sitting serenely wearing a white robe, a red-patterned headdress and a long salt-and-pepper beard.

They are the first known images of Mohammed since a widely distributed shot taken upon his capture in Pakistan in March 2003 showing him in a stretched white T-shirt, with disheveled hair and a mustache. Since then, only courtroom sketches from his war-crimes trial have been available.

The International Committee of the Red Cross, which photographs Guantanamo prisoners as part of its mission to monitor their treatment, confirmed on Wednesday that it took the images in July and sent them to his family. Spokesman Bernard Barrett did not identify the location of the family or specify their relationship.

Barrett said the photos were given only to the family and were not intended for public release, but the organization does not impose conditions on detainee families.

The military began to allow the Red Cross to photograph Guantanamo detainees in February and the group has taken pictures of 107 inmates. Detainees are allowed to select two shots and the ICRC sends five prints to their families, along with personal messages. ...

This Khalid Sheik Mohammed (beard)  looks a bit different now. Before, (no beard) he looked a bit more like a Super Mario Brother. Hard to say if it is even the same guy. Could be.

Now some facts. If you follow the links, the verifiable sources support them.

• Khalid Sheik Mohammed is not to be confused with Omar Sheikh Mohammed.


• Omar Sheik Mohammed according to the late Benazir Bhutto, murdered Osama Bin Laden


• Omar Sheik Mohammed wired Atta $100,000 with, according to the FBI (according to B. L. Kak), the full knowledge of Pakistani ISI, Gen. Mehmood Ahmed


• Gen. Mehmood Ahmed was meeting on the morning of 9/11, with the heads of the US Senate and House Intelligence committees according to Salon and the Washington Post.


• One of these men went on to become the new head of the CIA after 9/11.

True strange stuff. Will it all make sense and will our guys come out smelling good once Khalid Sheik Mohammed stands trial?  I hope to show how the facts could support that. First, more facts.

• The US Joint Chiefs of Staff previously planning to kill US civilians and blame it on terrorists as a pretext to invade another country in Operation Northwoods.


• In the Anthrax attacks, US civilians were killed, according to the FBI, by a (lone) US military worker who attempted to frame Arabs.


• Bruce Ivins, the purported anthrax killer, is said to have committed suicide before standing trial.


• Bruce Ivins, the purported anthrax killer was decorated with the highest civilian award (the Decoration for Exceptional Civilian Service) by President Bush.


• Bush and the White House started taking Cipro, the anthrax vaccine,  before anyone knew of the attacks.

With me? Do you doubt any of this? Do you understand now why there are 9/11 conspiracy theorists everywhere you turn?

• PNAC is/was a think thank which included Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, and other Neocons


• PNAC, the Project for the New American Century, advocated a US presence in Iraq before 9/11 and said we need a new Pearl Harbor before Americans will support invading Iraq.

With regard to flight 77, I hope this holy freaking weird 9/11 plane into building exercise planned several months in advance--which was just 5 minutes and 24 miles away from reality--will be explained as well:

The NRO exercise, which had been planned for several months, was set to commence at 9:00 a.m. on September 11, when its observers would meet to be briefed. The observers and exercise role players were to move to their positions for the exercise 10 or 15 minutes later. In the exercise scenario, a Learjet 35A with two pilots and four passengers on board would take off at 9:30 a.m. from Washington Dulles International Airport. This airport, which is located four miles from the NRO headquarters, is where American Airlines Flight 77–the plane that reportedly hit the Pentagon–took off from earlier that morning.

About a minute after the Learjet took off, an explosion would be heard, and the pilot would complain that one of the engines was on fire and he was losing altitude. Around 9:32 a.m., the plane would crash into tower 4 at the NRO headquarters. Since the Pentagon was hit at 9:37 a.m., this means the crash in the scenario was scheduled to occur just five minutes before the actual attack occurred at the Pentagon, which is 24 miles away from the NRO headquarters. - historycommons

A partial cover up of some kind? Perhaps someone slipped up and let on about the planned exercise?  For example, Khalid may have broken some NRO codes (perhaps some of Bin Laden's money funded that effort), or obtained the information indirectly from an employee of the NRO who didn't recognize that he or she was being probed for information out side of work. (see Human engineering.)

I'm just wildly speculating, of course, but the thing that would really make sense to me would be if Khalid Sheik Mohammed or an associate of his somehow got access to the information about the planned NRO exercise (hacking or a mole or something) and timed the hijacking of a white missile (filmed by a helicopter) to hit the Pentagon with the theft of flight 77.  (A reporter said there was no evidence of a plane hitting after the crash, and Pilots for 9/11 Truth say the 757 jet could not have physically performed the swoop from 699 ft above sea level that would have been needed to impact where it did. )



That white missile footage seemingly from the helicopter must be a fake, because we are told that flight 77 wreckage was found in the Pentagon, not cruise missile wreckage.



Besides, the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) had identified nearly all the bodies of the passengers from flight 77 in the Pentagon attack by November 16th 2001. It could be that the helicopter was there, but wasn't filming anything.

Is the white missile footage  a hoax planted as disinformation? Another freaky idea: If the white missile footage is real, the terrorists may have loaded a stolen white cruise missile with plane and body parts from the victims of flight 77. No idea where they'd get the missile, from where it would launch (some say from a jet that was seen rapidly leaving the area), how they would have the skill to modify it and still hit a target,  or what plans they may have had for the real flight 77 jet.



One theory is that the real attacks were masked (and perhaps they even succeeded because) our eyes on the sky thought it was just part of the planned drill.  Scary masterminding, indeed!
