Doctors Revive Frozen Woman Found in Milwaukee Snowbank

A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman found partially frozen in a snowbank over the weekend said Tuesday she was "gone" before doctors brought her back to life.

The woman, Tia Ross, was in the intensive care unit of Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

When Ross arrived at the hospital Sunday morning, trauma center medical director Michael Sore says she had spent nearly six hours outside, didn't have a pulse and was not breathing.

Ross wasn't sure what happened. She said a friend took her to the bar, but left to check on his children at home.

He never returned. At closing time, Ross began walking, but didn't initially realize how cold it was. She tried to go back inside the bar, but couldn't.

A police officer found her about a mile away in a snowbank in a used car lot.
