Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - Archaeologists in northern Israel have found a series of underground tunnels and chambers nearly 2,000 years old. The tunnels were used by Jews during a revolt against the Romans. Yardenna Alexandre, of the Israel Antiquities Authority, tells the Associated Press that the find showed that ancient Jews had prepared for an uprising against the Romans, which is in direct conflict with earlier suggestions that the uprising was spontaneous. Alexandre says, "It definitely was not spontaneous." - AHN
