The child, named only as Artyom G, was born two weeks ago after a normal pregnancy in which medics did not detect any problems.
But he has now undergone hours of complicated surgery at St Vladimir's Children's Clinical Hospital.
The boy was rushed from his maternity hospital to the specialist Moscow clinic where he underwent the length operation to join the two penises.
"The surgery was complicated. We had to form one penis out of two, make the abdominal wall and create a bladder," said a doctor involved in the five hour operation.
"When our colleagues asked for help we said yes immediately but we couldn't imagine the case would be so complicated."
According the The Sun, the hospital said that the baby is now in good health and the surgery a complete success.
"He will grow into a normal man and be able to have kids," the doctor added.

The baby was born to farmer dad Li Jun, 30, and his unnamed wife, who live in Hejian city in central China's Henan province - the rare condition is called fetus in fetu (FIF).

If you do a Google image search for "Diphallia" you will find at least one adult photo that is convincing as to this being a real disorder. I didn't post the photo of the baby born with one on it's back either when that story surfaced. I did add a frightening baby image to the story for you, however, Ann.
Thanks for the reply, Xeno, but I actually meant to be a bit facetious. Sorry. But, still, we do live in a sexist world, despite Clinton, Rice et al. Or, maybe because of them: I've noticed how women try to be male-like (no, not masculine necessarily) the higher up the chain of command in no matter what organization. A Jesuit priest/teacher told us once that the world would be much better if it wasn't so dominated by men. Its men, after all, he said, who instigate wars etc. ...
I knew you were kidding but I sometimes entertain myself by answering rhetorical questions. And besides, I actually do like to include some kind of image with each post. Perhaps women in power are not trying to be male-like, perhaps they actually do have those personality traits. But I agree that there are many more male role models for such things, so you may be right.
