Hoboken's former mayor is scheduled to appear in federal court today to face sentencing for taking bribes.
Peter Cammarano III pleaded guilty in April to extortion conspiracy. Under terms of his plea agreement, Cammarano faces up to 2 1/2 years in prison.
At 32, Cammarano became Hoboken's youngest mayor last summer. But he was arrested in a federal corruption and money laundering sting that swept up dozens of politicians and rabbis three weeks after taking office
Cammarano admitted taking $25,000 in what he thought were campaign donations from informant Solomon Dwek in exchange for promises to help Dwek build in Hoboken.

Thirty-two is pretty young to be a mayor. This made me wonder about the youngest mayor ever. Wouldn't you know it, Wikipedia has a list of the youngest mayors in the USA.
The winner hands down was 11 year old Brian Zimmerman, (photo right) mayor of Crabb, Texas. "He won by a landslide, garnering 23 of the 30 votes cast."
Called the "boy mayor" by the media, Zimmerman worked to incorporate the small unincorporated town, which had a population of under 200 when he was elected. This threatened his mayorship because of Texas state law prohibiting under-18s from serving as mayor.[30][31] His story was made into a movie called Lone Star Kid.[32]
During his first two years in office, he reportedly had one of Crabb's roads paved. In 1996, Brian Zimmerman died of a heart attack in Houston at the age of 24.[3] He still holds the record as the youngest mayor in United States history.
