Lounge Daddy - There seems to be a growing trend among schools to stage a UFO crash, and then teach students how to react, as well as to “properly” investigate and report on the incident.
It sounds like a lot of fun, and a great way to fire up a student’s imagination as well as writing skills. ...
Are UFO drills becoming something of a routine part of the curriculum in the UK? It’s certainly becoming more and more of a common event. Each time, it’s a joint exercise put in place by the school and local law enforcement.
A similar drill took place in Feb of 2009 when Lanchester Endowed Parochial Primary, in County Durham, staged a surprise “crash” behind the school. In Sept 2008 “children from an Edgware school were made to believe aliens had landed in their playground by teachers and police.” Again, each time it was conducted by the school system and police — teaching children what to do in event of a UFO event. Afterward, the kids are asked to write about their experience. ...

The UFO crash drills?
Or, studies of students in, what can only be described the most unusual type of, drills?
And, one might add, without too much imagination, they seem quite impractical. Unless, of course, there is an agenda about which we aren't given access.
The first "drill" was in September of 2008, the second in February 2009 and the recent one. All in different schools.
This may very well be the next, but a small step from "U.S. Must Be Ready to Meet Asteroid Threat, White House Science Adviser Says" (which Xeno posted, on October 26, 2010) towards the militarization of space.
In the mid-1970s Carol Rosin, at that time an elementary school teacher, met with Werner von Braun, the U.S.'s "father of rocketry." According to her presentation of "The Disclosure Project," directed by Steven M. Greer MD (2001), von Braun warned about the militarization or the weaponization of space. And, he maintained it must be prevented, and it is based on lies.
Von Braun said, according to Rosin, in the mid-1970s the excuse for research towards the militarization of space is the Soviet Union, because they were our enemies. Von Braun predicted there will be new enemies: "terrorists" and "rogue nations." They'll become our excuses for the militarization of space.
After that?
After that the threat will be from asteroids ... And, after that?
According to Rosin, Dr von Braun repeated again and again the last card will be the extraterrestrials.
Don't underestimate the power and influence of the industrial-military-complex. It has grown tremendously since President Dwight Eisenhower brought it to our attention in the late 1950s.
Rosin's presentation is on YouTube
For the militarization and weaponization of Space
The sequence of supposed threats have been, are and will be thus:
(according to Werner von Braun as told by Carol Rosin - See Xeno's "Steven M. Greer MD: The Hoaxed Alien Invasion Scenario"
September 29, 2010)
1] Soviet Union
2] Terrorists and Rogue Nations
3] Asteroids
4] Extraterrestrials
No. 1 is history.
Right now we're into terrorists and rogue nation and entering the asteroid phase
As the above article indicates, the Brits are just beginning the extraterrestrial stage.
Behold, NASA which is really pushing the asteroid threat:

Are asteroids a threat?
Check out the internationally standard of asteroid impact, the Torino Scale. Check out its "Red Zones" scale no. 8, 9 and 10 for "certain collision" with earth. Check out how frequent they occur:
#8 A collision is certain, capable of causing localized destruction for an impact over land or possibly a tsunami if close offshore. Such events occur on average between once per 50 years and once per several 1000 years.
#9 A collision is certain, capable of causing unprecedented regional devastation for a land impact or the threat of a major tsunami for an ocean impact. Such events occur on average between once per 10,000 years and once per 100,000 years.
#10 A collision is certain, capable of causing global climatic catastrophe that may threaten the future of civilization as we know it, whether impacting land or ocean. Such events occur on average once per 100,000 years, or less often.
We can be, by far, more certain about a global catastrophe that is going to occur within the next 100 years. A catastrophe is in part due to the reckless behavior of the US military. And, that catastrophe is the changing climate.
