Private: How do you Define Addiction?

Are you the victim of a loved one's gambling addiction? Lets say, for example, someone you love plays poker until 3 or 4 AM sometimes on work nights and leaves your beautiful relationship to spend more time playing poker. Are those signs of a problem? Here are some questions I found:

Did gambling make you careless of the welfare of yourself or your family? Did you ever gamble longer than you had planned? Have you ever gambled to escape worry or trouble? Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping? Do arguments, disappointments or frustrations create within you an urge to gamble? Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? After losing did you feel you must return as soon as possible and win back your losses? After a win did you have a strong urge to return and win more? Did you ever have an urge to celebrate any good fortune (new job, etc.) by a few hours of gambling?

Of course, love is a dance. Both partners have to keep their balance. I'm working on my head in a big way at the moment. I've replaced negative habits with postive ones: running again, keeping in touch with friends, meditation tapes to fall asleep, etc. That is going very well so far, but I think from talking to several friends about things that you also have to work on the hollow feeling that causes your particular addiction too. I need to find me a doctor for love addicts. (I'm at 60% addicted, how about you?)

So, I fell in love again. That's good. I'm grateful for the three months we spent together. What a fun romance! She was fantastic and I'd do it all again, even though it hurts like hell right now. I remember the line from Herold and Maude, "Go and love some more." I like that. Good plan. It may take a few years.
Meanwhile: More exercise, more music, get enough sleep, meditate, cultivate friendships, and so on.

While hiking and camping out yesterday I woke up early to the sun on my face. In my dream was a voice, the last thing I heard as I woke up was, "And you should work on your ego too."

Yes, I guess I should. Most people should. Humility, courage, trust. They are all lifetime efforts.

Wow, giving up additions (love, sex, drugs, sugar, gambling, whatever) is really difficult. I must be addicted to love. I'm noticing myself suffering very much right now. Missing her so badly. It feels like it will never end. My plans with friends for the evening fell through, so now I have to face myself and the heartache alone. I think I'll go out and see a band or something. No one knows how to love. No respect. What a screwed up world. I'm taking the day off tomorrow and I'm going camping. I don't know where, but somewhere far out of cell phone range. Just me alone with a backpack and a guitar for days. I feel like giving up on people for a while. People always let you down. I might freeze my ass off. ... so don't laugh if I walk funny when I get back.

Pack of Cigarettes Explode Tearing Man?s Hand Apart

Sounds like Russian spy stuff. I'm telling you, this is a good time to quit. Give it up now while you still can ... before the comet hits our planet this coming May 25th.

"A pack of cigarettes exploded in a man?s hands in the Russian city of Cheboksary.

The man seized the pack at a bar, went out in the street and opened it. After that, a major explosion tore his hand and another person?s finger apart, Komsomolskaya Pravda reported.

The man identified as Borzov (no first name given) sustained numerous facial injuries. A policeman living in a neighboring house called an ambulance and his colleagues and started to bandage the victim?s hands. Police found no trace of any explosives at the scene. No reason of this incident has been detected yet.

The paper citing physicians and policemen wrote that a similar incident took place in Cheboksary several years ago.

Megacryometeors: More Giant Ice From the Sky

Twice in one week large chunks of ice have inexplicably fallen from the sky in California, leaving experts mystified.In Loma Linda, Calif., Thursday a chunk of ice the size of a microwave oven came crashing through the roof of a recreation center, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. The ice then fragmented into several opaque, white chunks. No one was injured in the incident. - wnd

The most reasonable theory I've heard so far is that this is due to global climate change caused by human pollution.? According to chemical analysis these are not from airplanes or jets. They are also not comets from outer space .

A British woman baked a life-size model of her own naked body out of bread and watched an audience eat it, according to a Local 6 News report. Sharon Baker, of Epsom, Surrey, used 24 eggs and the largest oven that she could find to complete the life-sized artwork for an exhibition in London's Docklands. Baker decided to bake the model after she lost one of her best friends to breast cancer. She said the piece represents the never-ending cycle of life. "It demonstrates the cyclical nature of life," Baker said. "That things go on, that things get transformed, they never get destroyed." Local 6 News showed photos of people carving pieces of her bread body and then eating them. - local6

"A hospital patient being treated with a flammable gel for a skin condition has died after being engulfed in flames as he lit a cigarette. It is believed the 60-year-old was smoking on a fire escape at Doncaster Royal Infirmary on Monday. He was taken to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield with serious burns but later died. The hospital is not releasing details, but said: "This is a tragic event. Our hearts go out to his family." A spokeswoman for Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said an investigation had been launched. A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. He added that a report was being prepared for the coroner." - bbc

Russian Researchers Claim to Have Solved Mystery of Crop Circles

A group of researchers in Russia claim they have solved the mystery of crop circles, the Komsomolskaya Pravda daily reports. According to them, plants bend as a result of microwave emissions caused by lightning strikes.

The newspaper described an experiment conducted by researcher Stanislav Smirnov who placed several stalks of cereals in a microwave oven with a glass of water. He said the stalks bent in exactly the same way as those usually found at crop circles. Smirnov said he now has to find out how microwave emissions appear on fields. He has a theory that they come from underground, but cannot prove it.

Another Russian researcher, Anatoly Arzyayev of the All-Russian Electrical Hardware Institute, said that the emissions are most likely a result of lightning strikes. He said that they got crop circles at a lawn in their institute 50 years ago when such research was unheard of.

?Two young workers and I were testing high-voltage hardware. The cable that we used to supply the current was hanging 10 meters above the ground when suddenly it discharged an artificial lightning strike on to the lawn below. And the grass bent in even clockwise circles,? the researcher said. He added that they conducted several experiments and got crop circles of about 5 meters in diameter.

Another argument backing up this theory is the fact that real crop circles are often accompanied by so called lichtenberg figures ? narrow strips of bent grass, usually left by a lightning strike. - mosnews

Earth in Danger: Comet Collision Predicted 5-25-06

KEALAKEKUA, Hawaii, April 13 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Eric Julien, a former French military air traffic controller and senior airport manager, has completed a study of the comet 73P Schwassmann- Wachmann and declared that a fragment is highly likely to impact the Earth on or around May 25, 2006.

Comet Schwassman-Wachmann follows a five-year orbit that crosses the solar system's ecliptic plane. It has followed its five year orbit intact for centuries; but, in 1995, mysteriously fragmented. According to Julien, this is the same year that a crop circle appeared showing the inner solar system with the Earth missing from its orbit. He argues the "Missing Earth" crop circle was a message from higher intelligences warning humanity of the consequences of its destructive nuclear policies. He links this crop circle to May 25, 2006, and identifies the comet Schwassmann-Wachman as the subject of higher intelligence communications.

Using NASA simulations of the comet's path, Julien concludes that impact is likely around May 25 precisely when the comet crosses the Earth's ecliptic plane. While the first fragment will cross at approximately 10 million miles, lagging fragments threaten to collide. While astronomers have stated that the comet poses no direct threat, Julien argues that some fragments are too small to observe. Astronomers have predicted possible meteor showers indicating some cometary debris will enter the atmosphere.

Julien argues that the kinetic energy of even a 'car sized' fragment will impact the Earth with devastating effect. He concludes the May 25 event is tied in to the Bush administration's policy of preemptive use of nuclear weapons against Iran, and the effect of nuclear weapons on the realms of higher intelligences. Regarding its importance, Julien declares: "we have to save lives when we have such information to share with the public". He further claims it important "to preserve all data, historical artifacts and precious material in the event of such a collision." Julien predicts that the comet collision will occur in the Atlantic Ocean between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer, and generates 200 meter waves. Julien concludes that "each person with this information has to take responsibility to warn potential victims." - yahoonews

April 19th, 2:30 AM. 18 hours, No sleep. Is there no true and lasting love in this fearful wretched world? In the past month, and especially in the past week, my life has been so wonderful! Yes, love again. Flowers, hopes, dreams. Just when I feel so right, so happy, like I've made it... I'm alone again. Choices were made. I opted for love. She opted out. I can't sleep. My mind is racing. My heart is pounding. My mouth is so dry. It has only been a few hours. How many times will a best friend and lover tell me what a wonderful and kind man I am as she walks out of my life? Cruel planet. Cruel ugly polluted lonely planet. Tonight, this morning, in the stillness, in my empty bed, in my aching trustful head ... I feel lost. 4:38 AM. 20 hours, no sleep. The price of allowing yourself to feel love fully ... is feeling love's loss fully. 6:12 AM. Is it worth it? 8:25 AM, still awake. 24 hours, I can't sleep. I'm cold. Shivering. Still staring at the walls. My heart is drenched in "why?" 6:30 PM. 44 hours with no sleep. I'm going over everything. 9:12 PM. 47 Hours. Still can't sleep. I'm a mess. My ears are ringing. She said she'd call. No call. Was I just played by a player? Where is this love I love tonight? Not with me. The bird's in flight. Another lonely lesson learned: Most real love is not returned.

April 20, 6:30 AM. 55 hours awake. Battling myself. I've been stuck in the past. Hung up on a love long gone. Feeling that void, that loss, over and over. Some things fill the void, but they don't make you whole. So, over the past week I've been doing some mental surgery. Fixing a hole, where the rain gets in. It still itches around the stitches, but less each day. I feel me heal. Not for her, for me. Not soon enough to save this new love, but nevertheless... A new leaf. We are all self repairing. Face your demons. Chase them out of your house. Fix the foundation, then fill your space with friends. Clean house before inviting a new guest in ... respect love from day one. It is not enough to know what is wrong. You must act. Make it right. Good lessons.

Here's how some average guys made gas from crude oil.

"There were many oil wells in the area, and anyone who wanted oil felt free to help themselves. The price was so low that it barely paid the operators to pump it, and they didn't care if you took a few barrels for your own use. The process of making gasoline from oil was pretty well known among those in the area. It was quite simple. Heat the oil in an enclosed container, and condense the vapor by running it through a coolant.

My dad and I built a small dirt tank about a half mile from the house, and before making the dam we ran a 1" pipe through it. On the low side of the dam, we dug a hole large enough for a five gallon can. This is where the fuel would come out. Above the tank we placed a fifty-five gallon barrel on some rocks and fitted the pipe to the vent hole in the top. When it rained and filled our new tank, we were ready to start refining.

Two fifteen gallon barrels were filled with fresh oil and poured in the barrel. Then we started the fire about it. Before long fumes began to come out of the pipe below the dam, and shortly thereafter the gasoline began to run out in a small stream. The first that came out was very high in octane, and would evaporate from your finger as soon as you dipped it in the mixture. But as it continued to distill, it became less volatile. We found from experience that the first ten gallons that we got made good automobile fuel, and that the next six or eight gallons was composed of varying grades of kerosene. But all of it mixed together made excellent tractor fuel. After the first batch, we used the residue to fuel a fire for the next cooking. Because of the heat involved, we never made more than once a day.

Rumsfeld under renewed attack

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senior Democrats sought to raise the heat on embattled Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Sunday as Republicans and the Pentagon came together to defend him and the way he has conducted the war in Iraq.

The battle of words over Rumsfeld, his relations with military leaders and the Iraq war followed unusual public calls in the past week for his resignation from six retired generals, which prompted a rebuke from the Pentagon.

"My view is that the secretary should step aside," New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, a potential Democratic presidential candidate, told CBS's "Face the Nation" program. "Besides the fact that the Iraq war has been mismanaged ... we should listen to what these generals are saying."

Those urging Rumsfeld to step down include Maj. Gen. John Batiste, who commanded the 1st Infantry Division in Iraq, and Maj. Gen. Charles Swannack, who led the Army's 82nd Airborne Division in Iraq, and former NATO commander Gen. Wesley Clark.

"These are six distinguished military officers," Richardson said. "They basically are saying that Secretary Rumsfeld, on issues relating to military strategy ... didn't listen to them. ... This reaches a new level ... of not being willing to admit mistakes, not being willing to change a course, policy that is just not working."

Kentucky Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell, speaking on "Fox News Sunday," said the United States had "wiped out a lot of the people who would do us harm" during Rumsfeld's tenure.

"I think the important thing to remember here is that we haven't been attacked again at home since September of 2001," McConnell said.

Retired Brig Gen. James Marks, speaking on CNN's "Late Edition," said of Rumsfeld in the early days of the war: "I kind of had the impression that his mind and those around him had been made up in terms of what we were going to do and how we were going to go about doing it. ... And there were requests for forces that were denied."

Megacryometeors: Falling Ice Breaks Roof At University Gym.

"A two-foot-long chunk of ice fell from the sky Wednesday morning and tore through a Loma Linda University's gymnasium roof. No one was in the building when the slab of opaque ice hit, although several people were outside. Loma Linda's fire chief says witnesses told him it sounded like an artillery shell going through the air.

He says authorities aren't sure where the ice came from, but a university spokeswoman says a building repairman saw an airplane flying overhead at the time. Maintenance workers bagged the ice, stuck it in a freezer and plan to hand it over to the Federal Aviation Administration. " - cbs

That post lies northeast of Cheyenne Mountain at Peterson Air Force Base, where the Central Intelligence Agency, FBI, National Security Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency and others have offices. ... U.S. officials estimated that NORAD operations cost $350 million a year.

A government that lies to the people ceases to be the lawful government of this land.



For Roberts to officially admit that the reasons given for the Iraq war are lies and deceptions opens up the government to wrongful injury/death lawsuits from every family member of every slain or wounded service person. And, since the war was started with lies, the general taxpaying public is legally in their rights to refuse to pay for any of it, since a war stared with lies is not legal under the US Constitution.

Our nation is founded on the principle of rule with the consent of the governed. I don't know anyone who consents to be lied to. No court would enforce such a silly notion anyway.
