Man tried to alter fingerprints with skin from feet

TUCSON - A Jamaica man was sentenced to 13 months in prison for surgically replacing his fingerprints in an attempt to enter the United States illegally.

Marc Terrance George, 41, was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty in federal court here Feb. 27 to illegal entry after deportation. Authorities said George had replaced his fingerprints with skin from his feet. While attempting to come through the port of entry in Nogales, Ariz., U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers noticed George's fingers. George will be deported following his prison time. But first, authorities said George will be extradited to New Jersey to face charges of money laundering.
