The man miracle from Baltimore swam a typically dominant butterfly leg as the US men’s 4x100m squad held off Australia to complete his remarkable sweep with yet another new world record. - ft
Inspiring. Whatever you do, eat a good breakfast.
In case you missed the 3,000th special on Phelps last night before his races, Bob Costas shared what his usual routine was each morning. For Phelps, breakfast consists of 3 fried-egg sandwiches, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions, and mayonnaise, an omelette, a bowl of grits, and three slices of french toast with powdered sugar, all washed down with 3 chocolate chip pancakes. ... An average active male should consume roughly 2,000 calories. Although, a quick walk around your neighborhood will probably inform you, most Americans eat way more than that without any excersise. Phelps consumes at least 10,000. In order to reach 10K, Phelps couples his egg heavy breakfast with pasta and pizza heavy dinners. - faniq

Man. I do an hour and a half of yoga every morning, run about 30 miles a week, eat a vegetarian diet that is 90 percent raw and I still have a little belly fat. And then there are these guys. Sheesh. Freaking genetics.
I'll second that. At this point I'd be happy to do half of what you are doing weekly. I guess we do the best we can with what we have ... until somatic genetic engineering gets off the ground and allows us to adjust our genetic attributes after we are born.
