Indy Film on 9/11 Conspiracy

Check out Ty Rauber and Ryan Thurston's movie "Who Killed John O'Neil?" This nearly two hour artistic 9/11 conspiracy investigation includes a lot of information and highlights the internal debate: Am I crazy? Am I wasting my time? Is this real? Are they going to get me? Isn't this my duty? WARNING: Strong language & conspiracy info that may freak you out.
[googlevideo]1981225573970187433[/googlevideo]

This is film cites the international drug trade, a desire for facist control of the populace, and the international banking conspiracy as being behind the 9/11 inside job. Perhaps, but... If Dick Cheney had his hands in 9/11, I think it would be as a response to information from his secret energy task force. I think he would be, in his own mind at least, acting as a patriot to preserve the long term survival of the country by ensuring that we'd have oil for the next decade or so.

CNN says sorry for live mic gaffe

This is amusing. The poor sister-in-law. Lucky husband. This may be more interesting for most people than anything Bush had to say. Update: Check out her top 10 excuses on Letterman.
US broadcaster CNN has apologised after an anchorwoman's chat with a colleague was accidentally broadcast live during a speech by President George W Bush.

kyraphillips2.jpg The conversation between Kyra Phillips and another woman was clearly heard as Mr Bush talked in New Orleans to mark the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. During the chat, Ms Phillips talked about her husband and called her sister-in-law a "control freak". ... Her comments, which were at first muffled but then became clearer, started with an apparent expletive, before turning to praise of her husband in a conversation about men.

"Yeah, I'm very lucky in that regard with my husband. My husband is handsome and he is genuinely a loving, you know, no ego... you know what I'm saying," she was heard telling the other woman, whose identity is not known.

"Just a really passionate, compassionate, great, great human being. And they exist. They do exist. They're hard to find... But they are out there." - bbc

Investigation: Natural topcial cure for cherry angiomas?

In 2005 I blogged about cherry angiomas. A year later, I have one on my forehead. Laser treatment works well, but hurts, is expensive and increases the odds of skin cancer in the treated area. So I'm going to test some other things.

cherry-angioma-photo.gifcherry-angioma-photo_pic1.gifcherry-angioma-photo_pic3.gif

Miracle Cure Duo supposedly works over the course of two months. They have some nice before, during and after photos. The igredients are essentially the same as Swedish bitters. Instead of spending $37.81 on Miracle Cure Duo, you could perhaps spend $13.50 on the raw ingredients for Swedish bitters (minus the vodka), and make your own. Or cheaper yet, get some Swedish bitters cream for $11.50.

Can any of these clear up cherry angiomas? I doubt it. I can't find a single testimonial for or against other than on the web site selling the Miracle Cure. For $12, I'll try it. Ordered! Ordering with PayPal was super easy.

Tea Tree Oil Kills Cavity Causing Bacteria!

Tonight I saw some tea tree oil antiseptic mouthwash in a store. Does Melaleuca alternifolia oil actually kill the bacteria that cause cavities? Yes, and quickly with lasting results! Here's a study:

tea-tree.jpg

... 0.5% tea tree oil resulted in a greater than 3 log decrease in viable cells after only 30 seconds treatment. Also, after 5 and 10 minutes, viable cells could not be recovered from these treatments. Less killing was evident when S. mutans cells were treated with 0.12 and 0.25% tea tree oil. Time kill studies conducted with an isolate of Lactobacillus rhamnosus, a species also associated with dental caries, showed that L. rhamnosus was killed rapidly at both 0.5 and 1% tea tree oil, but less rapidly at 0.25%. Studies with these two species showed that tea tree oil exerts a relatively rapid killing effect. This in turn suggests that if tea tree oil was used in a mouthwash formulation it may be effective in reducing the numbers of S. mutans, L. rhamnosus or other bacteria within the mouth." - rirdc | Confirmed : Oral Microbiol Immunol 2003: 18: 389?392

Another interesting comparison. I was once perscribed Chlorhexidine, but when I read the warnings, I opted out. This looks promising. I wonder if there are any bad effects from 1% tea tree oil?

RESULTS: Chlorhexidine and garlic groups showed antimicrobial activity against mutans streptococci, but not against other oral microorganisms. distillery2.jpg The tea tree oil group showed antimicrobial activity against mutans streptococci and other oral microorganisms. Maintenance of reduced levels of microorganisms was observed only for garlic and tea tree oil during the two consecutive weeks (fourth and fifth). Unpleasant taste (chlorhexidine 40%, tea tree oil 30%, garlic 100%), burning sensation (chlorhexidine 40%, tea tree oil 60%, garlic 100%), bad breath (chlorhexidine 40%, tea tree oil 20%, garlic 90%), and nausea (chlorhexidine 0%, tea tree oil 10%, garlic 30%) were reported. CONCLUSION: Garlic and tea tree oil might be an alternative to chlorhexidine. - Int Dent J. 2002 Dec;52(6):433-7

An Austrailian University research group says "The component terpinen-4-ol is the most abundant (minimum 30%) and is said to be responsible for most of the antimicrobial activity." Dangers: One kid drank some tea tree oil and went into shock. Was it contaminated with pesticides or did he just have an allergic reaction? Buy .5% to 2% organic tea tree oil mouthwash if you can find it, just don't swallow it.

‘God spot’ researchers see the light in MRI study

Brain scans of nuns have revealed intricate neural circuits that flicker into life when they feel the presence of God.The images suggest that feelings of profound joy and union with a higher being that accompany religious experiences are the culmination of ramped-up electrical activity in parts of the brain.

The scans were taken as nuns relived intense religious experiences. They showed a surge in neural activity in regions of the brain that govern feelings of peace, happiness and self-awareness. Psychologists at the University of Montreal say the research, which appears in the journal Neuroscience Letters, was not intended to confirm or deny the existence of God, but set out to examine how the brain behaves during profound religious experiences. - more

If I hooked a button to some electrodes in your brain and every time I pushed it you saw God and felt a profound experience ... a godly presence, would you then believe or not believe? Why or why not?

Rats’ noses identify related humans

A rat's nose knows more about your family than you might think. It seems that rats can identify genetically related humans by similarities in their body odour.

ratknows.jpgErin Ables and colleagues at the University of Chicago familiarised rats with a human volunteer's odour, then tested the length of their response to novel odours. The rats investigated odours from people who were genetically related to the volunteer for a shorter time than those who were unrelated. This supports the idea that closely related humans share similar odours, and that the odours have a genetic basis.

Previous work suggests that humans can also distinguish between the odours of their relatives and non-relatives. Ables speculates that this ability may help us avoid behaviours such as inbreeding. She presented her work at the Animal Behavior Society meeting last week in Snowbird, Utah. - newsci

Nepali 14 yr old boy may be world’s smallest person

A 14-year-old Nepali boy who is only 50 centimetres (20 inches) tall has been put forward for a Guinness world record as the world's smallest person, his family and supporters said.smallest.jpg"We found out that a Jordanian boy holds a record in the Guinness Book of World Records and he is 25.5 inches tall. But Khagendra is 5.5 inches smaller than the Jordanian guy, so we sent an application to the Guinness Book of World Records," said Min Bahadur Rana, president of Khagendra Thapa Magar Foundation, an organization set up to collect funds for the boy. Fourteen-year-old Khagendra Thapa Magar weighs only 4.5 kilograms and will be taken on tour round Nepal to raise money for his upkeep, his father told AFP.

"We show him in exhibitions to collect fund for his education, health and future," said Rup Bahadur Thapa, his father.

According to the website set up by his supporters, www.khagendratma.org, Thapa weighed only 600 grams at birth and his hobbies include "playing with pebbles" and "worshipping Buddha." - yahoo

“They Hate our Way of Life”?

People I know think "the terrorists" are not human. Dehumanization is a form of propaganda (a lie for political purposes) which can lead to genocide. Indeed, I've heard the genocidal comment that we should "just nuke the whole place".

_42031852_clusterafp203story.jpgHate is passed on purposefully and accidentally in many ways. For example, Rush Limbaugh the admitted drug addict is popular because he twists complicated reality into simple undertandable (but wrong) sound bites. Reality, however, is complicated. Iraq is a mess now because people with simple impaired judgement thought war was the answer. They acted on a fantasy "they will welcome us!" and that mistake is costing thousands, tens of thousands of human lives.
Yes, a small minority of Muslims DO have a bizzare bloodletting ceremony, yet all human beings, no matter what religion, get mad if you blow up their children.

Some vague thing like "hating our freedoms" isn't causing the rage. The seeds of hate are specific. Example: The US recently provided cluster bombs to Israel which then used our US made bombs to kill innocent civilians. Over 100,000 unexploded US bombs will keep on killing for years.

The Bush administration, by providing weapons of mass destruction to the Middle East conflict, has endangered US national security by causing a new wave of tremendous hatred towards us. This makes some foreign peoples (who are also blinded by their own propaganda) wish to strike back at innocent people here in the USA. They WILL teach their children remaining to hate the US because US weapons killed one or more of their other relatives (41,000 to 45,000 Iraqi civilians currently). Gee, if some country started a war that resulted in 40,000 dead Americans do you think we'd love them?

"Israel asked Bush around August 10th for a speedy delivery of M-26 artillery rockets (dumb bombs). It seems the order went though and they started firing them in large numbers at Lebanon a few days later (the week of Aug 14-18th)."

So, do they hate our way of life? Our music? Our nice clothes? Or do they rather much more hate the way we kill them?

Bush tells reporters Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11

Well, here it is. Bush admits in front of a camera that Iraq had nothing to do with the attacks of 9/11.

[youtube]JsPSI-tcoaI[/youtube]

The great smirker admits that he pulled a fast one over on all those American soldiers. Pretty funny. He, Cheney and Powell and the gang tricked the country into going to war by making up some stuff about Weapons of Mass Distruction and by insisting they had secret evidence of Saddam's ties to al Quaeda.

"in 125 separate appearances, they [Bush, Cheney, Powell, Rumsfeld and Rice] made ... 61 misleading statements about Iraq's relationship with al-Qaeda." [pdf: ref]

So many people have died. Ha ha ha. Good one Bush. Of course, as we've been saying all along, Bush (and others whose names you'd recognize) planned on invading Iraq years before 9/11. Impeach.

CIA Leak Case, The Armitage Ploy

Brent Budowsky: The 'sheep' story is that Armitage acted as the 'lone gossip-slinger' who set in motion a long chain of dominos that has resulted, so far, in Libby being indicted. The real story is actually armitage.jpg madcheney.jpg one of vicious political revenge for 'disloyalty,' that involved orchestrated attacks on multiple fronts against the Wilsons and the CIA, apparently ordered by Cheney (covering for Bush?) and for which Libby LIED to protect Cheney. Don't fall for the Armitage cover story, Fitzgerald hasn't shut his operation down despite having known about Armitage from the very beginning. The Wiki Plame Affair Timeline does a good job of showing Cheney to be the nexus from which all the intentional 'outing' emanates:

Creepy Backwards Head Twisting Video

Click the picture to play the video. Yes, it has to be fake, but how did they do it? I can think of a few ways, but the easiest would be: His head is really a mask and he turns it around.

[googlevideo]2617909448730878650[/googlevideo]

It just doesn't look like that to me. Perhaps they did this: Edit the part of the video with his head so it is out of synch with the part of the video with his body.? This way you don't have to create a fake head.

You just need to have him do two takes:

Take one: he moves his hands as if he is dislocating his head, and ...

Take two: he keeps his hands down and moves his head as his hands directed in the first take.

The blurry video makes it easier. Still, it is amazing to watch. I gotta try this some day with a video camera to see what I'm picturing can actually be done.

Ahmadinejad challenges Bush to TV debate

It won't happen, but it would be fascinating to watch.

"Talk of a debate is just a diversion from the legitimate concerns that the international community, debatechallenge.jpg not just the U.S., has about Iran's behaviour -- from support for terrorism to pursuit of a nuclear weapons capability," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said in New Orleans. ... "The debate should be go uncensored in order for the American people to be able to listen to what we say and they should not restrict the American people from hearing the truth." - swissinfo

Giant Surfing Praying Mantids?

Did you ever look at a photo and your mind just refused to see what was really there? Instead, you see something totally bizzare? That's what happened for me with this photo from the Miami Herald. It looks to me like two 10 ft tall praying mantids surfing. I'm sure any second it will "click" and I'll see it correctly... some people flying a kite on a surfboard. They say if something is bizzare enough, we just won't see it.

A Very Non-Earthly Seeming UFO Encounter

Check out this description. If this is a secret military craft, we are getting pretty advanced.

... The Evening News was contacted by one of the witnesses to the anomaly, which happened at 12.20am on August 23. A second man, a civil aviation worker at Norwich Airport, also reported seeing the lights in the sky.

black_triangle_ufo.jpg

The aviation specialist, who did not want to be identified and said it was definitely not a stealth aircraft, was walking home from the cinema when he saw the craft about 50ft in the air, and judged it to nine feet by five feet by comparing it with nearby trees.

He said: ?A bright red ball just appeared. It glowed then turned blue and a triangular black glass type solid craft appeared. It pulsed various lights but there was no sound. It turned as if to look in my direction.

?It fired off a light beam that jumped rapidly from house to house along Low Road. It then increased the light at the flat edge, I presume the back, and it just shot off in total silence towards the north. No sound at any time except a static fizz in the air.?

Witness Austin Paxman, of Norwich, contacted the Evening News and said he was taking a short cut across the Royal Norwich Golf Club when he saw the same craft, but from a different angle.
... ?In a book by Timothy Good called Beyond Top Secret he says the hotspot for UFO activity in the UK in terms of reports to official bodies is the Norwich area. - more

I wonder if the TR-3B Astra, if it exists, could zoom around silently with a static fizz.

"Designated the TR-3B : code-named : Astra : its first operational flight was in the early 90s : eyewitness reports and evidence lend to earlier test flights. They have been spotted around the globe. At least three craft costing a billion dollars each were flying by 1994." - more

New Dinosaur Discovered, Matches Ancient Figurines?

The Figurines Of Acambaro, Mexico according to some, accurately depict very specific types of dinosaurs only recently discovered ... and more, they (like the Ica Stones) depict a time when dinosaurs and men lived together, something modern science denies. While I don't share the biblical explanation on bible.ca, I'm intrigued by this mystery.
A new dinosaur discovery, the Titanosaur, to my eye anyway, bears a startling resemblance to many Acambaro figurines in both shape and size relative to humans. Since this dinosaur was only discovered in 2006, figurines from hundreds, thousands (or millions?) of years ago would obviously be more than remarkable. Compare the Acambaro figurines to the Titanosaur skeleton:

Mount Pleasant ‘Chupacabra’ is a Gray Fox, a Very Strange One

By Prentiss Findlay. "... Mount Pleasant has been abuzz in recent weeks with talk of a mysterious creature roaming the woods that was so friendly it played with cats, yet so weird-looking it left those who witnessed it feeling unsettled.

Since the Mount Pleasant sightings became public, the critter has been reported bounding through the woods in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties. Some said it had sinister eyes. Others said it moved in a magical flash from one spot to another.

It's been described as any number of odd crossbreeds including a dog and a deer or a fox and a weasel. One reader speculated that it was el chupacabra, the mythical creature said to suck the blood from goats.... "It's unequivocally a gray fox," said Jaap Hillenius, a biology professor at the College of Charleston.

But it's not just any gray fox. No, this gray fox, delivered frozen from Mount Pleasant to the college, is an odd-looking critter. For one thing, it doesn't have all the hair it's supposed to. And the woman who found it dead in the road, Ann Concannon, said the proportions don't look right to her.

But for now, Hillenius said that's exactly what he's got in his lab. A gray fox, albeit an odd-looking one. Hillenius said he is exploring a cause for the animal's strange appearance. Is it mange? A bacterial infection? A virus? Could it be related to global warming?

"It may just be a wild goose chase," he said. - MORE

Ernesto, John and Ioke

Tropical Storm Ernesto forecast to strengthen, possibly to a hurricane, is approaching Florida. Residents are preparing as they typically do. They've lived it before: The power lines get knocked down. If it gets really bad and if it hits during the day, they may watch the roofs (including theirs) blow right off, shingle by shingle. In the aftermath: No power, stores, gas, fresh water or AC in the sweltering heat for up to a week or more. This according to a Florida resident I interviewed last night. Watch the radar here:

Also, "An undersea earthquake struck near Indonesia's Moluccas islands on Tuesday". At first it was rated as 6.4 but has since been downgraded. How do earthquakes get downgraded? Equipment malfunctions?

And, Hurricane John threatens Mexico's Pacific coast ...

artwake.jpgWhile elsewhere the military has evacuated about 200 people from Wake Island due to an approaching Category 5 Super Typhoon.

"For the first time in nearly five decades, this tiny coral atoll in the middle of the Pacific, where its highest point barely rises to about 18 feet, has been evacuated. The reason is Super Typhoon Ioke, whose eye is aiming straight at Wake Island, home to an American base. The fragile atoll is expected to be pummeled by gusts of up to 160 knots and waves of up to 40 feet." Click to enlarge the image from Earth Browser.

Rumsfeld’s poetry goes into hiding

Rumsfeld's "last significant poem gushed forth in a July 31 briefing. Asked about the war in Lebanon, Rumsfeld offered what I have on his behalf titled, "Observations on Wasted Sunlight": It is what it is. What's happened has happened. And the folks over there are sorting it out. And Condi and the President Have both commented on it. That's good enough for our country. Good to see you all. Why are you all not out there In the sun, getting a suntan?

New Compound Causes Cancer Cell Suicide

cancer-cell-pac1.jpgSuicide is the regular mode of cell death. When cells reach the end of their useful life, internal mechanisms kick in and the cell automatically perishes, a process known as apoptosis. But in cancer cells this mechanism has often been genetically disabled or otherwise broken, allowing tumors to proliferate. Now researchers have found a way to reactivate programmed cell death and thereby treat cancer. In preparation for apoptosis, a chain of chemical events takes place in the cell. pac1.gif00050d07-6d22-14ef-ad2283414b7f0000_1.gifNear the end, the chemical procaspase-3 is activated. This chemical then transforms into caspase-3--an executioner enzyme that terminates the cell.

Chemist Paul Hergenrother of the University of Illinois and an international team of colleagues realized that a compound that activated procaspase-3 might be effective in killing cancer, because many tumors show elevated levels of procaspase despite their inability to complete apoptosis.

After screening 20,500 related molecules for this activation ability, the researchers narrowed it down to four likely candidates. Of these, only one showed an increasingly strong effect with increased doses: newly named procaspase activating compound, or PAC-1. "We have identified a small, synthetic compound that directly activates procaspase-3 and induces apoptosis," Hergenrother says. "By bypassing the broken pathway, we can use the cells' own machinery to destroy them." - sciam

Brilliant! Quick, get the full article before the lab burns down and the notes disappear. ;-) A cure for all cancers in our lifetime?
