Strange lightning

I'm getting an awesome thunderstorm 3:30 to 4:00 AM. What is strange is that it is regular, every minute, a new crack louder than the last. There have been about 20 of them so far. Like something out of the War of the Worlds remake.

Now it is right on top of me. Flash, boom. No counting. The thunder is so powerful that it set off a car alarm. I'm recording it. Will post it up tomorrow. Assuming the aliens haven't landed.

Surprised the power is still on. Wow, that was a big one. Yow! That one set off alarms all over the place.

Unplugged my computers.

We get storms like that all the time in the Spring and Summer here in So. Florida. That cloud to ground lightning is a whole new experience if you're not used to it.
