'Miracle': All but one survive Caribbean 737 crash

http://i.usatoday.net/communitymanager/_photos/today-in-the-sky/2010/08/16/crashx-large.jpgA Boeing 737 operated by Colombian carrier Aires split apart after crashing on a Caribbean island just after midnight this morning. And, in what local officials are calling a "miracle," only one person died in the accident. The Associated Press writes "Colombian Air Force Col. David Barrero says the plane operated by the Aires airline broke into three pieces as it landed at San Andres Island. He says a lightning strike may have caused the crash."There were 131 people on the flight, according to most media reports."The skill of the pilot kept the plane from colliding with the airport," Barrero tells the Daily Mail of London.Bloomberg News quotes Gen. Orlando Paez of Colombia's national police as telling Colombia's Caracol Radio that "the plane spun out of control when it was struck by lightning 80 meters before landing at the mainly English- speaking Colombian island about 140 miles east of Nicaragua's coastline."

Let's say this was a miracle.

So Zeus intervened and killed only one person! What a deity!
