Man Accused Of Vandalizing Jail

A man who said he had the "last tree in the universe" is now facing destruction of property and drug charges.

Oklahoma County deputies said Rondell Bailey walked into the downtown jail with a stick and offered it as payment for crashing his truck in a nearby parking lot.

He claimed it was the "last tree in the universe," and he wanted to give it to the jail so that any possible charges against him would be dropped.

Deputies told him a stick could not be accepted as payment.

Deputies said Bailey then went outside, grabbed a brick from a nearby retaining wall, and threw it through it a jail window. He was immediately arrested.

Deputies said they searched his truck and found a white powder they suspected was methamphetamine.
